Novice Navscatter

  • Belle Vue Hotel Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales, LD5 United Kingdom (map)

What a great start to the year! We were pleased to have four crews turn up for our novice navscatter last night to learn about navigation events.

Organised by Brian Jones and Michael Hardwick, the event started from the Belle Vue Hotel in Llanwrtyd. Crews were given plenty of time and support to plot the map references and get to grips with a roamer! They then had an hour and a half out in the local lanes to practice their map reading skills and find a variety of clues and code boards. All crews made it back to the finish where results were announced as below.

Well done to everyone for taking part! We hope to see you at our navscatters this year, with the championship kicking off with Round One on Thursday 23 January.

Results:

Driver & Navigator / Class / Penalties

  1. Daniel Elkin & Laura Elkin / Beginner / 3 fails

  2. Gerwyn Jones & Gethin Jones / Mentor / 4 fails

  3. Alex Moore & Will Moore / Beginner / 4 fails

  4. James Thomas & Mali Thomas-Williams / Novice / 7 fails
