1. All participants must be members of Epynt Motor Club Ltd.

2. Points are awarded for involvement in a wide range of events, including:

a. organising or marshalling on Epynt Motor Club events, including the Cambrian Mountains Tour, Mewla Rally and Powys Lanes Rally

b. organising, competing or marshalling on Epynt Motor Club autotests and navscatters

c. attending Epynt Motor Club meetings and social events

d. attending WAMC or other association meetings

e. competing or marshalling on any other rally organised by other clubs

3. Championship awards will be presented at the Epynt Motor Club Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation.

1. There are six rounds in the JLA Recovery Autotest Championship, see the Club Calendar for dates and venues.

2. All competitors must be members of Epynt Motor Club Ltd.

3. All competitors must hold a valid Motorsport UK RS Clubman or higher-grade competition licence. A Motorsport UK RS Clubman Competition Licence is free of charge and can be applied for online at www.motorsportuk.org.

4. A competitor must be at least 16 years of age to compete.

5. Parents or guardians of drivers under 18 years of age are required to sign on at the start to enable their child to compete.

6. A competitor under 18 years of age must compete in the Standard Production class.

7. There are five classes: Front Wheel Drive, Rear Wheel Drive, Standard Production, Novice and Ladies

8. A competitor entering the novice class will remain in the novice class for the year.

9. When a competitor wins the novice championship, they must compete in the expert class the following year.

10. Penalties and other rules for competing, will be as in the Supplementary Regulations for the event.

11. All competitors must wear a seat belt and are advised to wear a suitable helmet whilst competing.

12. All cars must be fitted with an effective silencer at all times.

13. All cars in the standard class must have a STANDARD engine, NO LSD or welded diffs, NO knobbly or winter tyres and NO hydraulic handbrake.

14. A competitor’s best five scores will count for the championship. If six rounds are not run, then the championship will be decided by the total number of rounds, minus the worst score.

15. A first in class award will be presented for each class on every round.

6. There are two classes – expert and novice.

9. Only two people are allowed in competing cars.

10. Spotlights must not be fitted on competing vehicles.

11. All vehicles must be fitted with an effective silencing system.

12. A driver or navigator who organises an event will get ten points.

13. Awards will be presented on every round to the first novice crew and first expert crew.

1. At least two months before your event, contact the Navscatter Coordinator, Brian Jones, for a Navscatter organiser pack, including list of black spots and permit number for your event.

2. Try to arrange a start venue with a separate room for plotting and a finish venue that can supply food.

3. Allow novice crews extra plotting time.

4. Organisers may use white unsurfaced roads only if they are smooth.

5. Any unsurfaced roads used or roads not on OS maps must be shown by a detailed diagram.

6. Event information must be sent to the Dyfed Powys Route Liaison Officer, Dorian Evans, ideally twelve weeks before the event, or a minimum of at least eight weeks before. This should include the supplementary regulations, a coloured map showing all clue locations (digital Quo file, scanned pdf or printed map), permit number and organiser’s contact details. 7. Inform other motor clubs at least four weeks before if the event is taking place in their area.

8. PR around the start and finish venue and any clues which are within 250 meters of any household.

9. Contact Dyfed-Powys Police with full details of your event at least a week before, email Stephen Cross stephen.cross@dyfed-powys.police.uk.

10. If required, contact the WAMC Epynt Liaison Officer with details of your event, email Chris Phillips bronant.phillips@gmail.com.

11. For photocopying of event paperwork, contact the Navscatter Coordinator or epyntmotorclub@hotmail.com.

12. On the day of the event, phone Dyfed Powys Police on 101 or email 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk to log a Storm code by giving the event details (organiser’s contact details, venue, start/finish time etc).

13. Email the results and a report to epyntmotorclub@hotmail.com.
